What is the NSP Athlete

National Ski Patrol (NSP) is thrilled to launch the NSP Athlete Program,a new ambassador-athlete initiative designed to support and showcase the vibrant, youthful spirit of today’s NSP while honoring our rich history.

For many, ski patrollers remain somewhat enigmatic unless you are part of the industry, you might not be aware of the extensive training, significant accomplishments and vital role as first responders, ensuring
mountain safety.

The NSP Athlete Program, in addition to supporting our competing athletes, also has the goal of demystifying patrolling by featuring a select number of patroller-athletes to highlight the larger narrative of NSP and the patrolling industry. By doing so, we hope to connect with new audiences, attract fresh recruits, and inspire the next generation of patrollers.

This initiative will create a buzz around the NSP brand beyond the confines of our mountains. Our realm includes remarkable athletes and leaders with diverse training and exceptional stories. Through this program, we will feature these individuals, sharing not only their personal journeys but also the broader story of NSP.

Athlete Sponsorship

To be eligible to apply to the NSP Athlete Program, applicants must be an active member in good standing with the National Ski Patrol. Applicants must be competing at the national level in recognized competitions in snow sports events or mountain biking.

Those selected to be part of the NSP Athlete program will be part of an elite group of patrollers, compromised of accomplished individuals who will represent NSP as ambassador-athletes and will help to develop a heightened awareness and reach for our message.

The NSP Athlete pilot program will sponsor up to 6 diverse individuals who embody NSP’s values of excellence, service, camaraderie, leadership, integrity, and responsiveness. We will endeavor to represent a broad spectrum of NSP.

The application process will be open from August 15th – September 15th for the 2024-2025 Season. A thorough vetting process alongside a selection committee will review applications. NSP Athletes will be announced in October 2024. The sponsorship will be for a period of one-year.
